We're sold out of firewood for 2026. Earlier than we expected, and that's entirely down to you — so thank you.

It's been a good season. Demand has been strong across the Bay of Plenty, and we've appreciated every customer who came back again this year and everyone who found us for the first time. Running out of stock is never something we plan for, but when it happens this way — steadily, through word of mouth and returning customers — it feels like the right kind of problem to have.

Why We Sell Out

We don't rush firewood. That's the short answer.

Good firewood is seasoned properly — split and stacked with airflow, dried down to the moisture content that actually burns well and heats efficiently. Wet wood smokes, burns cold, and builds up creosote in flues. We've never been interested in selling that.

The timber we cut and split goes through a full drying process before it's bagged and ready. That takes time — and it means our supply is always finite. We'd rather sell out of good wood than sell more of something that doesn't do the job properly.

How We Store and Handle Firewood

One thing customers ask about is how we keep our firewood in such good condition through the season — consistently dry, clean, and ready to burn even when the weather hasn't cooperated.

The answer is the storage system. We use ALFA bulk firewood bags — large 1–1.2m³ reusable bags built specifically for firewood operations. They're UV-resistant and made from breathable material, which means air circulates through the stack and the wood keeps drying even in storage. No moisture trap, no condensation building up at the bottom of a pile.

The bags also make handling fast and low-labour. Four lifting eyes on top and four on the bottom mean we can move, fill and tip with a loader — no double-handling, no unnecessary moving of wood between containers. When we supply customers with larger volumes, we can tip directly into a truck or trailer on-site.

It's not a complicated system, but it makes a real difference to the quality of what we deliver — and to how efficiently we can run the operation through a busy season.

Order Early for 2027 — Shed Dried Sells Fast

If you want firewood for next winter, the best advice we can give is simple: don't wait.

Shed dried sells fast. Our best, longest-seasoned stock goes first — always. The customers who order early get the pick of the season. Those who come to us in June are working with what's left.

Off the stack is cheaper. If you order early and take delivery while we're still processing the season's cut, you pay less. The wood needs somewhere to go, and early orders help us plan the season. Everyone wins.
